Putzmeister presents the world's first bidirectionally connected truck-mounted boom pump
Thanks to the Ergonic Edge platform developed by Putzmeister, bidirectional data transmission will also be possible in the future, which will take machine availability to a new level. With Ergonic Edge, Putzmeister is thus opening up a new field of possible applications in order to significantly increase added value for customers.
As a development project, Ergonic Edge marks the next evolutionary step in the construction industry and is intended to provide customers with innovative services such as remote service and remote access and provide the basis for state-of-the-art technologies. These technologies help to reduce downtime by enabling rapid remote problem identification and resolution - which in turn results in significant time and cost savings.

Bidirectional infrastructure
Ergonic Edge enables two-way communication, which ensures optimised interaction between the Putzmeister service network and customer machines and creates the basis for further technological developments and innovations.
Remote service
The Putzmeister service network is intended to provide a detailed view of all service-relevant machine data in real time for faster solutions to problems in an emergency - this should lead to a reduction in service costs.
Machine parameters can be adjusted flexibly and efficiently remotely via the Putzmeister service network. This function can be helpful in the event of servicing but should also enable fine adjustment of the machine
Technological basis
Another goal of the Ergonic Edge platform is to be the basis for future digital and automated applications through further developments and updates. Other functions such as teaching sensors and software updates ‘over the air’ are also planned.
